Pegasus has successfully provided a culture of recovery for adolescents since 1985. It is an 8 bed program designed for substance abusing adolescent females ages 13-17, who are in crisis and need comprehensive treatment in a therapeutic, structured, non-institutional setting.

Clients are at high risk due to their substance abuse. As a result, they are in need of a mulitdimensional, evidence-based treatment approach. The treatment components have been designed to focus on the physical, psychological, social and familial aspcets of the adolescent's life.

Services are offered to the clients and their parents/guardians being sensitive to the issues of cultural/linguistic diversity. The program offers an environment that reinforces a drug and alcohol free lifestyle that includes attitidinal and behavioral changes. Clients are encouraged to learn how to cooperate with each other, and learn the skills and responsibilities needed to care for themselves and develop positive relationships with adults.
