Women’s View is a six-month residential treatment program for women ages eighteen and older working toward recovery from substance use.
Utilizing evidence-based modalities such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology and Health Psychology, the Women’s View program offers current, innovative, and high-quality care to women whose lives have been adversely affected by substance use and addiction. Women’s View employs a holistic approach that integrates client-centered comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based clinical treatment, with art and music therapy, physical and recreational activities, job readiness, life skills, the development of community and family supports, and volunteers’ opportunities. Access to self-help recovery meetings and spiritual services are available and encouraged.
Treatment continues after graduation in weekly aftercare sessions for three months, or until goals have been achieved.
Women’s View works collaboratively with area agencies such as DCF, Probation, Methadone and Suboxone programs, Supportive Care, CorUnum, Bread and Roses, Strongest Link, Lawrence Continuum of Care, and other community human service providers.
Clients are able to easily access The Psychological Center’s outpatient clinical services, such as individual and group therapy, and medication management when indicated. The Psychological Center is able to offer a continuum of care that enables clients to establish and maintain sobriety while encouraging and supporting positive and adaptive life changes.
